Attention Hoboken Business Owners And Employees - Free Business Parking Option
It's no secret that parking is extremely difficult to come by in Hoboken. In addition to the limited spaces available on Washington St, and the high volume of stores and customers looking for parking, there is also a large amount of employees that drive around town looking for street parking including real estate agents.
In a meeting held earlier in the week with the Mayor, the Chamber of Commerce and Director of Transportation and Parking, concerns were voiced on the city's stress on parking spaces and the need for options for employees and employers alike, so that more consumers can find parking easier so that they have a better shopping experience.
Director Ian Sacs committed on December third to implementing a new free business permit option! Currently, the old business permit costs $200 and allows holders to park in the street without a time limit or park in a municipal garage at a discounted rate of $5 a day.
The new business permit is free and works by purchasing $5 a day coupons to park at the municipal garages at the discounted rate. This option however does not allow the holder to park in the street except where posted.
