2013 Hoboken Arts and Music Festival

This years, 2013 Hoboken Arts and Music Festival was an amazing success! Walking down Hoboken's Washington Street was a very slow stroll as the crowds were much bigger than year's past. 

Still there was so much to enjoy from yummy food stands and festival staples like sausage and peppers and zeppoles, to beauty stands, jewelry makers, wonderful unique art works and great live entertainment. 

All under the beautiful Spring sun and on Cinco De Mayo.

We ended the afternoon with what else? Margarita's at Black Bear on 2nd St. Did you have a good time at the Hoboken Arts and Music festival? Would love to hear from you!

Hoboken Arts and Music Festival 2013

The Hoboken Arts and Musical Festival is here! This Sunday, May 5th 2013, Hoboken will be a buzz with vendors, visitors and residents all swirling around Washington Street for this wonderful event.

The City of Hoboken hosts this annual event the first weekend of every May and it is always a day that I look forward to.

Last year I picked up a gorgeous necklace by Vaskia designs , some fabulous body products by DollyMoo and hubby and I jammed to some old school R&B on the main stage.

Hoboken Arts and Music Festival | Spring 2012

The Hoboken Arts and Music Festival Spring 2012 is almost here! 

On Sunday May 6th the annual festival will happen come "rain or shine" as it reads the Hoboken city website!

We're hoping no rain of course! Starting at 11a.m. and taking over Observer Highway at Washington Street all the way up to 7th street. Hoboken's main swag will be lined with dozens and dozens of vendors and residents plus visitors all walking around, enjoying themselves.

Great street food plus a few gourmet stands as usual, lots of artists displaying art, photography, jewelry, crafts and more all for sale. Plus you can't miss the huge line up of musicians that will be performing throughout the day on different stages throughout.

Just take a look at the jam packed music schedule!  Sadly I'm out of town and will miss the Spring festival but I'll be thinking about kettle corn and fried Oreos - yummm

First Irish Cultural Festival To Kick Off This March

It looks like Hoboken will be green after all on March 14th - even if the St Patricks Day Parade was cancelled!!

The city of Hoboken reported today that on March 14th, 2012 starting at 4p.m., the city will host the first of what is to be an annual Irish Cultural Festival.

In a press release it was cited that after the cancellation of the parade, a number of residents contacted the city to volunteer and organize a grassroots celebration of Irish culture while providing entertainment for the entire community to enjoy.

The Irish Cultural Festival is free and will be held from 4p.m.-10p.m. at Frank Sinatra Park. There will be music performances and food plus sports and dance and it is open to all ages.

Proceeds will benefit the Hoboken Shelter for the Homeless and the Hoboken American Legion which delivers care packages to our armed forces overseas via the Adopt A Soldier Program.

6p.m. Performance by the Traditional Irish Step Dancers
Music Guests: Will O'Connor, George Murphy and Paddy and the Pale Boys

Hoboken St Ann's Feast Starts Tonight! 100 Year Anniversary

The annual St Ann's Feast starts tonight at 6p.m. Celebrating 100 years of this Italian feast for the Saint of all women this year will be bigger and better with a focus on good food and live music!

Wednesday July 21st - Latin Night Ray Sepulveda & his orchestra perform

Thursday July 22nd - Jay and the Americans - A 60's band

Friday July 23rd - The Nerds!

Saturday July 24th - Elvis impersonator Ryan Pelton performing of course an Elvis tribute

Sunday July 25th - The Stylistics - A soul group performing 70's hits

Monday July 26th - The beautiful Christina Fontanelli and the Jordan Thomas Orchestra

St Ann's church on 7th and Jefferson is hosting its Novena Mass nights this week during the feast. All are welcome to come.

Visit the bar behind St Ann's for some cocktails mixed up on Thursday July 22nd by our very own office RE/MAX Gold Coast Realty!!

The feast can be very crowded so it can be unsafe for pets due to high traffic. Music starts every night at 8:15 on the main stage in front of the church.

Residents: starting tonight park your cars somewhere safe and note the days of the feast as it will be difficult to find parking and streets will be closed.
