Outdoor Yoga | Maxwell Place | Hoboken Flexible Rhythm

Great news Yogi's! New outdoor Yoga classes are coming out front of Maxwell Place in Hoboken

Ahhhhhh
Flexible Rhythm Yoga has signed on with The City Of Hoboken to host the series and it's open to anyone.

Starting May 1st, classes will be held under the "steel canopy on the 12th Street Pier".
Prices are as follows:
9 Sessions $70
5 Sessions $45
4 Sessions $40
3 Sessions $36

If you're interested in getting your OM on, sign up at www.hobokennj.org/register or by visiting The Department Of Human Services, 2nd Floor in City Hall. (Washington St between First and Newark)

Here are some tips that will help you be an outdoor Yoga Master from lululemon.com's community blog

1. Bring a well cushioned yoga mat: A thicker mat is perfect for an outdoor practice especially if you are on a hard or uneven surface. I love The Mat; it is ultra thick, providing extra cushioning for the hips, knees and spine.
What New Venture is Complete Without New GEAR!?
2. Start with your breath: Take some deep breaths before you begin your practice. Feel your breath and hear your breath. Taking in fresh air and not indoor recycled stuffy air brings plenty of oxygen into your body and increases your energy levels.
3. Protect yourself from the sun: It’s important not to forget that you’re going to be outdoors for an extended period of time. Make sure you have sunscreen on or cover up (the Run:Sunblocker Long Sleeve is lightweight, has an excellent UPF rating and provides great sun coverage.) A pair of sunglasses may also be handy especially in poses like Triangle and Extended Side Angle pose.
4. Keep hydrated: It can be hot and humid so listen to your body temperature. It’s easy to overheat and become dehydrated quite quickly. I always have my water bottle close by.

What do you think? Have any of you practiced with Flexible Rhythm Yoga? Will you be taking advantage of outdoor yoga at Maxwell Place?

Texas Arizona is hosting a charity event where you can buy a bachelor!

Looking to spice up your love life? Get into a bidding war!!

On Wednesday April 17th, Texas Arizona will host their annual live bachelor & bachelorette auction to benefit the Relay For Life and American Cancer Society foundations.

Guests attending the auction can bid on the bachelor or bachelorette they like most and not feel weird about it. After all it's for a good cause! ;)

Those looking to scope out the inventory before buying will actually be able to meet the bachelors/bachelorettes before the bidding begins.

Interested in being auctioned off? Or would you like to attend?

Then email
and tickets are just $5 in advance or $10 at the door. Over the years those that attend say that the night is lots of fun with good laughs and lots of mingling.

You can donate/buy tickets on their website www.relayforlife.org/hobokennj and you can also spread the word on Facebook! www.facebook.com/hobokenrelay

Biggie's Clam Bar - Open's New Location in Hoboken

Clams On The Half Shell
One thing's for sure, Hoboken residents love food and we love Biggies Clam Bar's new location!

After the unsuccessful re-opening of The Historic Clam Broth House, Biggie's has taken over and is received with a warm welcome.

Today's lunch hour had a 15 minute wait time! I'm told customer service is excellent and the portions are a-plenty as the Biggie's you've grown to love.

What's better? This Biggie's location also has a bar and I'm hoping that they will add to their famous fresh clams (and now Oysters) perhaps a little raw bar for the summer..?

Personally I love mine with some horse radish and ice
cold beer.. ahhhh summer's almost here!

The new Biggie's Clam Bar location is 42 Newark
St between Hudson and River Streets.

Happy Easter 2012

Happy Easter!
Maybe it's the girl I am, but I just love Easter colors, Easter candy and most of all Easter eggs! And over the years I've noticed that decorating Easter eggs has taken on it's own life and turned into an art form..

One of these years I'll buy dozens of eggs lock myself in a room, and see what I can come up with.. Thought I'd share these lovely images with you!

Have a great weekend
